2012 Triple Crown: Looking at I'll Have Another's Belmont Stakes Pedigree
For the first time since 2008, racing has Triple Crown dreams with I’ll Have Another winning the Preakness on May 19. While “Cookie” obviously has class and grit, fighting horses tooth and nail in his last three wins, the colt’s pedigree will also be an important factor on June 9 when he attempts to go 1 1/2 miles in New York. However, unlike some other recent Triple Crown hopefuls, the chestnut son of Flower Alley looks like he may not have to worry about the distance.

Freshwater crayfish found to have substance covering teeth astonishingly similar to human enamel
A team of Israeli and German scientists from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) and the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces have found an enamel-like layer in the mandibles of freshwater crayfish, according to an article in Nature Communications titled “Enamel-like Apatite Crown Covering Amorphous Mineral in a Crayfish Mandible.” Dr. Shmuel Bentov from BGU’s Avram and Stella Goldstein-Goren Department of Biotechnology Engineering discovered that this species of crayfish protect their teeth against wear in a very specific and surprising manner: they produce a highly mineralized protective coating based on calcium phosphate, which is strikingly similar to the enamel of vertebrates. The “enamel” in the crayfish tooth serves as a protective layer for the softer under layer that is made, similar to the rest of the exoskeleton, from amorphous calcium carbonate.

Corrections order for vicious nightclub assaults

Adam James Weightman, 22, attacked two men three years ago at what used to be the 21 Arms nightclub in Mair Street, after he and three friends had been following the victims around “for some time”. During the early hours of April 12, 2009, Weightman tapped the first victim on the shoulder then verbally abused him before punching him in the eye

The Days Before My Wisdom Tooth Extraction
So here we go. Like I said in my previous post, my right lower wisdom tooth started hurting several weeks ago. At first I could deal with it and at times it would go away, but it progressively got worse until one night, I woke up suddenly because of the pain in my jaw almost up to the ear.

I Hate Going To The Dentist But I Have To
I just wanted to write about my wisdom tooth extraction. So I don’t forget this experience. …in case I need to get my upper wisdom teeth extracted too.
